Spot a claim that needs more context

A product claim needs a clear meaning and a source. An ambiguous adjective may describe marketing rather than a fact you can compare.

Turn the phrase into a question

For quiet, ask whether there is a measurement and under what conditions. For premium, ask what construction or service difference is meant. For body-safe, ask for the exact contact material and intended use. Not every seller will have a meaningful answer.

Check the type of evidence

A manufacturer specification, user opinion and clinical study are different evidence. A study about a general topic does not prove a particular retail product has an effect. Do not count repeated seller copy as independent confirmation.

Respond proportionately

Missing context is a reason to ask or wait, not automatic proof of deception. Avoid products whose important claims cannot be checked to your satisfaction. Pain, symptoms and medical treatment questions need an appropriate professional, not a stronger advertising promise.

Sources and limits

NSVRC describes freely given, informed and ongoing consent. Our examples apply that principle to ambiguous hints: an observation or interpretation does not supply an answer. The particular questions are invented editorial suggestions, not tested techniques, therapy or evidence of relationship improvement.

Brown BWell supports discussing boundaries, stopping if it hurts, and following manufacturer cleaning instructions. Only those limited points are adopted; its material-specific cleaning recipes, lubricant generalizations and risk claims are not repeated. The Tango X manual is one exact-model documentation example, physical pages 2, 4 and 6, not a recommendation or a substitute for another model’s instructions.

Do not fill in the missing answer

Treat a statement about an object and an answer about shared activity as separate questions. A confident product claim cannot supply another person’s wishes. Ask plainly; if the answer is unclear, leave the proposed activity there.
