What to look for first on a product page
Read for intended use, disclosed construction and instructions before a promise about how an item will make you feel.
Find the exact item
Identify the model and version. Confirm whether photographs and specifications refer to that same item. A family name or a seller’s combined listing may cover products with different sizes, materials or controls. Save uncertainty instead of choosing the most appealing description.
Check useful specifications
Look for contact material, dimensions, control layout, charging and cleaning. Ask what the description does not say. A claim such as natural-feeling cannot establish a material, while water-resistant does not establish that every cleaning method is permitted.
Read the transaction separately
Check who the seller is, the total cost and the return or warranty terms. Specifications and service promises answer different questions. An attractive product page cannot guarantee comfort or make an unwanted shared activity acceptable. You can leave without deciding today.

Sources and limits
- NSVRC: About sexual assault — consent
- Brown BWell: Sex toys
- Tango X: exact-model user manual
- ACOG: When sex is painful
NSVRC describes freely given, informed and ongoing consent. Our examples apply that principle to ambiguous hints: an observation or interpretation does not supply an answer. The particular questions are invented editorial suggestions, not tested techniques, therapy or evidence of relationship improvement.
Brown BWell supports discussing boundaries, stopping if it hurts, and following manufacturer cleaning instructions. Only those limited points are adopted; its material-specific cleaning recipes, lubricant generalizations and risk claims are not repeated. The Tango X manual is one exact-model documentation example, physical pages 2, 4 and 6, not a recommendation or a substitute for another model’s instructions.
ACOG advises professional assessment for frequent or severe pain during sex. No diagnosis, treatment, urgency score or prevalence figure is adopted.
For adults 18+. No hands-on tests, clinical review, personal safety assessment or guaranteed outcome. Clearer phrasing cannot by itself make a pressured situation safe. Corrections: [email protected]; do not send private health records or another person’s details.
Keep product facts separate from permission
A label can answer a question about a model. It cannot answer for another person. If you hope to use something together, ask about that particular activity separately; browsing a page together is not permission to use it.
